Master Sheds Ltd have been making custom wooden buildings in Gloucestershire since 1984. Every summer house is built from quality redwood in our own workshop.
planning your summer house
Think about what you want to use the summer house for – a room for sitting and reading is different from a room for a hot tub or gym. This in turn affects the size of the room, the doors and the number of windows.
A veranda can be added to create a covered outside sitting area. We’ve built them 12″, 18″ and 24″ deep, sized to suit the building.
Choose the doors and windows and where they go. A variety of styles are available. Double glazed windows are available as an option to make the summer house feel more like a room.
If you need somewhere to store cushions, garden tools etc, then a shed or tool tidy can be attached to the side or back of the summer house.

We deliver and install summer houses throughout Gloucester and Cheltenham, and anywhere within a 50-mile radius of our Hempsted workshop (GL2 5JA). Customers in Churchdown, Tuffley, Fairford, Cam and Chipping Campden have all had buildings from us.
Delivery and installation is free within 3 miles of the workshop, then £1 per mile one way up to 50 miles. Further afield? You can still order and collect in person or by courier.

Yes. We’ve built verandas from 12″ to 24″ deep. Let us know the depth you’d like when you ask for a quote.
Yes. Customers use our summer houses to house hot tubs and gym equipment as well as for relaxing.
Quality redwood tongue and groove shiplap boards on a 62mm x 38mm framework.
We don’t do groundwork, but we can give you the names of local companies who can lay the base. We can also supply timber bearers to go under the building so air can circulate. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure the base is suitably built, level and in the right position.
We deliver and install within a 50-mile radius of our Gloucester workshop. Delivery and installation is free within 3 miles of Hempsted, then £1 per mile one way up to 50 miles.

Every building is quoted to your own size and specification, so we don’t list prices. Call us on 01452 314011 or send us your measurements and we’ll get back to you with a price.
Because everything is custom-made there is a waiting list, so please allow for this when you plan your order. We’ll tell you the current wait when we quote.
Yes. It can be insulated with Jablite and lined with 9mm birch-faced ply for extended use across more of the year.
We don’t have a showroom but we have a standard 7′ x 5′ apex shed on display in our car park that you can view during working hours. Also you can come and view the current buildings that we are making in our workshop. You can view the various materials that we use and ask any questions that you may have.
Yes. All of our buildings are treated with our own water-based treatment that is not harmful to plants, animals or children. We recommend re-treating within 6 months of it going up and then annually thereafter.
We aim to deliver and put up buildings between 9am and 12 noon, Monday to Saturday, but we can be flexible to suit you.
