how it is built
Each summer house is handmade from quality redwood tongue and groove shiplap on a 62mm x 38mm frame, using timber from sustainable forests. The roof is ½″ exterior-grade OSB finished with green mineral felt as standard, or felt tiles if you prefer, over a ½″ tongue and groove floor. If you want to use it through more of the year, it can be insulated with Jablite and lined with 9mm birch-faced ply.
We treat every building with our own water-based treatment, which is not harmful to plants, animals or children, and we recommend re-treating within 6 months and then once a year. Cheltenham is well within our 50-mile delivery area. Our team delivers your building and puts it up on your prepared base, so you don’t need to arrange anything else on the day.
We cover the whole town and the villages around it, including Leckhampton, Charlton Kings, Prestbury, Pittville, Montpellier, Up Hatherley, Warden Hill, Benhall, Swindon Village, Bishop’s Cleeve, Woodmancote, Southam and Shurdington.
Delivery and installation is free within 3 miles of our Hempsted workshop, then £1 per mile one way, up to 50 miles. Call us and we will confirm the delivery cost for your address.

Yes. Cheltenham is well within our delivery area, and our own team brings your summer house from Hempsted and builds it in your garden, whether you are in Charlton Kings or up towards Cleeve Hill. Delivery and installation is free within 3 miles of the workshop, then £1 per mile one way up to 50 miles. We aim to deliver and put up between 9am and 12 noon, Monday to Saturday, but we can be flexible to suit you.
Relaxing, reading or sitting out with friends, and customers also use them to house hot tubs and gym equipment. Tell us how you plan to use it and we will suggest a size and layout to suit.
Yes. A corner summer house makes use of space that would otherwise go unused. We have built them from 8×8 to 10×10, and we can make one to your own measurements.
Yes. A veranda gives you a covered place to sit outside. We have built them 12″, 18″ and 24″ deep, sized to suit the building.
Yes. It can be insulated with Jablite and lined with 9mm birch-faced ply, and double glazed windows are available as an option, so you can use it across more of the year.
We don’t do groundwork, but we can give you the names of local companies who can lay the base. We can also supply timber bearers to go under the building so air can circulate. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure the base is suitably built, level and in the right position.
